As social media grows in space and influence, companies and brands have to adapt. Social Media Managing is a career that has been born because of this boom. Not only do companies need them to appeal to the masses, but also people, like influencers and celebrities, use them to help manage their brand. This all falls under digital media.
As a social media manager, you need to be able to predict trends, create engaging content, develope strategies to increase followers, and work with companies or hire influencers/celebrities (depending on who you’re working for). And, not only do you need to be adept in digital media, most employers also look for a bachelor’s in marketing.
Overall, Social Media Management is a fairly new career, but I don’t think it’s going anywhere any time soon.
